The Cornell University Chorus holds its Twilight Concerts annually in October. The date for Twilight 2018 will be posted here when it is scheduled.
The Chorus' Twilight Concert in 2017 was on Saturday, October 28 at 5:00 pm in Bailey Hall. The Chorus explored themes of solitude and community, including captivating music from Norway, Australia, South Africa, Guatemala, Canada, and more. A highlight was the world premiere of our new commission from composer Christine Donkin, evoking in a dramatic musical fashion one of the last confirmed sightings of the possibly extinct Ivory Billed Woodpecker (an extraordinary bird which once dominated the southern American forests). The Cornell Glee Club made a guest appearance, and the program concluded, as always, with traditional Cornell songs.
