Twilight Concert 2017
Saturday, October 28 at 5:00 pm
All students, parents, and the Ithaca community are invited to the annual Twilight Concert in Bailey Hall! The nationally renowned Cornell University Chorus will explore themes of solitude and community, including captivating music from Norway, Australia, South Africa, Guatemala, Canada, and more. A highlight will be the world premiere of our new commission from composer Christine Donkin, evoking in a dramatic musical fashion one of the last confirmed sightings of the possibly extinct Ivory Billed Woodpecker (an extraordinary bird which once dominated the southern American forests). The Cornell Glee Club will make a guest appearance, and the program will conclude, as always, with traditional Cornell songs.
Tickets can be purchased from the Bailey Hall website or from any member of the Chorus. If you are visiting for First-Year Family Weekend, you can also buy tickets during the registration process.
We have also begun our annual Twilight raffle, which is a great opportunity to support the Chorus and win some fun prizes that can appeal to current students, alumni, family, and friends. To learn more, visit our raffle page by clicking here.
