After Eight Update

After Eight was excited to welcome three new members this fall – Medina Keita ’20, Kennedy Urban ’21, and Alexis Waite ’20! We went on a Purity ice cream run with the whole group for some fun bonding time. Then, after only a week and a half in the group, our new members were thrown into performance-mode when a British a cappella group, the Bristol Suspensions, visited us for a few days. They sang with us and the Class Notes at an arch sing and the wonderful Medina blew the crowd away during her solo rendition of “Crazy in Love."

Rehearsals are going great so far, and we are looking forward to our concert on November 11th. We are thrilled to be hosting the Tufts Beelzebubs as our guest group.

Looking ahead, we are excited to tour the US South with the Chorus this winter, and we are also planning a small tour of our own! We plan to spend the weekend before Spring Break in New York City, where we will sing with other a cappella groups and explore the city together. Our many members from Long Island and New Jersey will be hosting us in their lovely homes.

This year is looking great so far, and we can’t wait to see what else is in store for After Eight!
