Atlantic Coast Tour

After almost of a year of planning, it is almost time for the Chorus to embark on our Spring 2017 tour! Planning to stop in cities all throughout the Southeast, the Chorus is so excited to engage in musical opportunities, visit new places, and of course, escape the Ithaca winter!

Beginning the tour on March 31st, the group will drive down to central Pennsylvania, where we will host high school workshops, visit Hershey’s Chocolate World, and perform a concert in Harrisburg. From there, we head to Charlotte, NC for a concert on April 1st, and then to Atlanta, GA for one of the highlights of tour. There, we perform in collaboration with the Morehouse College Glee Club, who visited Ithaca a few years ago and performed with the Glee Club. After our concert, the Chorus will spend a full free day in Atlanta, enjoying various activities such as the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola. After a day of fun, the Chorus will travel to Hilton Head, SC for a concert, and the next day, visit Charleston, SC for a concert. Next we drive to Richmond, VA, to perform at the Reveille United Methodist Church, a beautiful venue that both the Chorus and Glee Club have frequented as part of recent tours. Our tour concludes with a weekend in DC, where we are planning a variety of outreach activities, a major Saturday night performance, and time to explore the city!

Planning this tour has been one of the biggest responsibilities I’ve ever had, but I’m so grateful for the opportunities it has given me to engage with Cornellians from around the country.
